Is there anything for senior citizens in La Quinta that doesn’t cost a fortune? Cards clubs, dominos, marjong, etc. —  Grandma L.

Don’t forget the exciting opening that you’ve been waiting for! Yes, the Museum opens Saturday (May 24th) with tours, music, food, history, and your personal look at the big mural. You’re invited from 2-4, so bring the whole family for this historic day.

Some really hot cars and pick-ups!

APOLOGIES TO MANY:  Not being well acquainted with the viewing habits of you subscribers, I wrongly assumed that the postings of the day would tempt you to go the actual  laquintacove.org website.  So I left out an important step that is crucial to responding to the survey questions (how often, what topics, etc.)

So, STEP ONE is to click on the headline!  (Any headline you’d like to respond to…)  That takes you to the website in the NEWS AND EVENTS page.  STEP TWO, scroll down below the text (or video) and look for “Post Comments” (if no one has yet posted any thing) or “2 Comments” (if , say, two comments have already been posted). Below all the other comments is a form to fill out.  There you can “Leave a Reply”, using your real name, or any name you choose to use.  Your email address, however must be there (it won’t be published).  (You can skip “website.”  Put your opinions in the box and SUBMIT!

If this is still lacking, click on CONTACT THE ASSOCIATION and we’ll get back to you.

With apologies, Moderator #2  WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!!

Last week the laquintacove.org moderators tried a new approach:  Instead of making DAILY postings, we posted only on Monday and Thursday, thinking that every day might be too much for our readers.  Maybe fewer days with MORE news is better.

Now we have some questions for you.  Please take a moment to respond by clicking on POST COMMENTS.

1. What frequency do you prefer for postings? (for example, once a week, twice a week, daily, etc.)
2. What postings do you like best? (announcements of coming events, reports on past events, talk-back, videos, photos, etc.)
3. What interest topics are we missing, or what should be stressed more? (for example, local sports, health, safety, earthquakes, more politics, less politics, etc.)
4. What general suggestions do you have for the website, to increase information and the feeling of “community” in the Cove?

Remember, you don’t have to leave your name (you can invent one) but you MUST leave an email address.

PLEASE LET US KNOW YOUR PREFERENCES!  THANKS
