Check out these speedo bikers as they swoop down on their early morning coffee in Old Town….

Check out the excursions offered by the City of La Quinta to San Clemente, Universal Studios, San Diego Padres, and San Diego Museum of Art (Georgia O’Keeffe exhibit).  These are listed in your “LQ Activities Guide” or look online at www.la-quinta.org.  Save the gas and enjoy some really cool activities.  (Click on RESIDENTS, RECREATION PROGRAMS, AND EXCURSIONS).

In today’s news we learn that the City Council voted 5-0 to waive annexation fees for some Vista Santa Rosa plots. That is outrageous! Basically La Quinta residents are going to subsidize the annexation of these parcels. The 29,188 fee was not sufficient to start with. Is anyone aware of the problem that we are facing here? Are we ready to see the current city services, including police, slashed by half as annexation starts taking place?  — RR
