The LQ Historical Society, the LQ Museum, and the City of LQ sponsored a discussion last Saturday on the history of golf in the area.  In LQ, Landmark Land Company was a large part of that history, as well as the LQ Hotel (now “Resort”).  Judy Vossler, Andy Vossler and Terry Wilcox led a discussion.  Take a look:

Are you earthquake ready?

Those terrible scenes of Haiti should make us want to fix potential home hazards, freshen up our earthquake kits and review our family plans.  The Desert Sun recently published a great summary.  If you missed it, take a look and  be reminded of earthquake safety.  Most important?   • Nature Walk begins at the Ensenada rest stop along the Fred Wolff Bear Creek Trail.  “Written in Rick” starts at 8:00 a.m. and you are all welcome….
  • Art under the Umbrellas in Old Town returns from 10 - 4:00.  Stroll among the artists, drop in at  the shops and restaurants.  Always a great art experience.
