Beth and her staff and volunteers make the LQ Library a popular and wonderful place to visit.

Here’s an overview of what’s in store at the PT Barnum exhibit.  A great escape from the heat, and right on our doorstep.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdhFiR83TbA

Percussionist Chazz Ross returns to the Library on June 24 at three, for a free musical show for the whole family.  Come and enjoy the fun.

Don’t forget those two great bus trips to the coast.  San Clemente Ocean Festival July 17 and Pageant of the Masters on August 14.  Visit the website for all the particulars: www.la-quinta.org/communityservices

It’s been a banner year for mallard duck production at the Park, with two hatching periods, about two months apart.  Here’s a look at feeding time at the zoo.  The lady is feeding them chicken feed and bread.

Have you been following the media discussions about the “La Quinta Forty”?  The La Quinta High School students involved in internet and actual “games” with an anti-semitic theme?  NOW’S THE TIME TO DISCUSS TOLERANCE WITH YOUR KIDS.  Young people learn important attitudes and values from their families.  This is a good time to promote the virtues of diversity and tolerance in our community.  Strike while the theme is HOT.
