Some election tips….June 8
June 2nd, 2010
- If you’re voting by mail, remember in addition to mailing it in, you can drop off your ballot at any polling station in Riverside County. Be sure to sign the envelope, and if you’re dropping off someone else;s they have to sign stating you are designated to drop it off for him/her.
- BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR PRECINCT LOCATION! The Cove has been reconfigured, due to increasing registrations, and there are new precincts. In the Cove three are in homes, one at the fire station (on Frances Hack by the park) and two at the Community Center. There are others… So check your location and precinct number. Better yet, BRING YOUR SAMPLE BALLOT WITH YOU TO VOTE, then you have proof of your registration and voting location.
- If you are a first time voter, bring an ID with you.
- Study your ballot before you come. It’s too long and complicated to figure our in the voting booth.
- This is a primary election, so you’ll need to ask for the ballot of the political party to which you are registered: there are six parties…can you name them all???
- If you’ve misplaced your sample ballot and don’t know where to vote, call city hall and they’ll helpl you figure it out. 777-7000
- MOST OF ALL, JUST VOTE.
