The City has completed work on two dog parks and they are now open. Seasons Dog Park is located on Cloud View way (just off of Calle Tampico and Desert Club northeast of Adams Elementary) for those living in the Cove and the Village. You’ll note lighting is provided, so your canine friends can run wild until the park closes at 10:00 p.m.  They open again at dawn.  Here’s a preview:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiJdgPy2GLk

In the north area, Pioneer Dog Park located at Miles and Seeley has now been expanded for larger dogs and additional seating has been added for the smaller dog park. Both have turf, water, up-lighting and seating and are quite nice for residents. Of course, the Fritz Burns Dog Parks are still open making three dog parks available. Please remember and remind your fellow owners to clean up after the dogs so all can enjoy these parks.  Also, dogs who use the parks must beup  to date on their shots.

Dr. Cameron Barrows provided insight into the options for tracking and identifying desert creatures.  Our sand does not yield clear animal tracks, so let’s look for other evidence of who lives where….POOP, to be more specific.  Dr. Barrows found a chuckawalla haven across the channel…take a look:
