I cannot understand why the correct information was not out for the children’s egg hunt. I went to the Civic Center because according to this website, the location changed from the La Quinta Park to the Civic Center, and then to the La Quinta park (the cove one), then I even went to Fritz Burns park and nothing. I wasn’t the only one that did this. At the three locations there were parents with their children and their Easter Baskets just sitting and waiting. They could not understand what was going on either. It wasn’t until I saw the video on this website that I heard the lady say the egghunt was at the North La Quinta Park not the Cove park. That was a very important detail to miss. Especially for people who have not lived in La Quinta for long like me. It would have been nice to know exactly what La Quinta Park and maybe the cross streets. For some children like mine, this was their Easter egghunt and it sure was a sad one. I understand that everone makes mistakes and I guess this was just another one made.

Many many apologies for the mix-up on the location of the egg hunt. Unfortunately, we used some bad data when we originally posted the location of the event many weeks ago.
The City notified us of the correct information last week, which we posted the very hour that we were notified. We corrected the old posting, and placed the correct info on the REMINDER which came up on Friday, along with the address (Westward Ho) of that park.
I think many people get the names of the parks mixed up. Especially “La Quinta Park” (north LQ) and “Community Park” (aka Frances Hack, City Park, etc.) Fritz Burns I think no one confuses.
It’s a good idea you have to mention the cross streets, and not just the address, and we will remember to do that in honor of your disappointments. We try hard to cover all the events and news that we can, and will, unfortunately make mistakes, not too often.
I wish I could turn back the clock for you, and get you and your children to the egg hunt, but alas, that is not possible. I can only regret that we posted the original wrong spot, but we did act as best we could to correct it.
Again, very very sorry for you and any others who missed the REMINDER.

Well initially I tought it was going to be at Fritz Burns park, because that is what the City of La Quinta Calendar said. Then I checked out this website, and I saw the last post with the correct information so we used that instead. We made it over, and our 7 years old guest didn’t want to go for it because it wasn’t an Egg Hunt, but an Egg Picking. So we did our own and everything worked out for the best.
