I believe you have spotted a Side-Blotched Lizard. Commonly seen in the cove, these little guys are somewhat unigue as they are capable of changing their color to heat up body temp. enabling them to be active during the winter months when most reptiles are hibernating. They are found in washes but prefer rocky areas. This specimen appears to be a male.
