Is there anything for senior citizens in La Quinta that doesn’t cost a fortune? Cards clubs, dominos, marjong, etc. —  Grandma L.

  1. Cove Potato Says:

Have you checked the listings at the senior center? You should have gotten a booklet in the mail. OR stop by the senior center and chat with the staff. THIS VERY AFTERNOON? Drop by the brand new museum (FREE from 1-4) and then celebrate at the outdoor oldies concert (FREE 4-6) on the lawn in Old Town. Bring your own chairs and refreshments. And then there are the city council meetings…

Click on city link for their calendar of events, which includes free and senior events. Dance this Friday night, for example, $2. Go to http://www.la-quinta.org and click on the itty bitty “calendar” at the top right of the home page. That link is also available on this site, go to “Contact the City” at the left side of the screen, and the link will be in RED at the top of the listings. Good luck.

Become a volunteer somewhere…. the new Museum, Arts Foundation, schools, City, etc. ??
